ARRIVING AT CASA NOSARA
π Important Arrival Information for Casa Nosara
It is imperative that you follow our recommendations to ensure a smooth arrival.
If at any point you have questions, please contact us before reserving any vehicle, side-by-side, or shuttle.
π Casa Nosara Entrances
Casa Nosara has two entrances:
1) Top Entrance (recommended for arrival and drop-off)
Used for dropping off luggage and guests when you first arrive.
Works whether you come in a vehicle, shuttle, or taxi.
Directions can be found in the House Manual link.
2) Bottom Entrance (for town access)
Used for walking into town.
This is also where side-by-sides are parked.
Parking is possible here, but very limited, and requires a 4x4 vehicle and an experienced driver (must drive up a 23-degree grade, back up and turn in tight spaces).
Otherwise, youβll need to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up.
π Transportation Recommendations
From the airport:
You must rent a 4x4 shuttle (such as a Suburban).
If you rent a van, it will not drop you off at the door.
Drivers may say itβs a βshort, easy walkβ β IT IS NOT. It is steep and cobblestone.
A 4x4 Suburban holds up to 6 people.
If your group is larger than 6, you will need a second 4x4 Suburban.
Our recommended driver offers a reduced rate if you rent two vehicles.
If driving your own vehicle:
An experienced driver can make it to the top entrance to drop off luggage and guests without 4x4.
Only attempt this if you are experienced or if you have a true 4x4.
β Why is this so important?
We have extensive experience with the arrival process and want you to have a smooth start to your stay.
Check-in at Casa Nosara can already take at least 30 minutes. If instructions are not followed, it can take much longer as we shuffle suitcases, food, and drinks up steep, tricky roads.
Large groups often have multiple people booking cars separately. Itβs very important that the person who made the reservation makes everyone in the group aware of these transportation requirements, so no one rents a vehicle that cannot make it to the house.
β οΈ Extra Fees
If, after reading this carefully, you still choose to:
Drive your own non-4x4 vehicle,
Reserve a shuttle/van that cannot make it up the hill,
Take a taxi or other inadequate transportation,
β‘οΈ There will be an extra fee for the property managers to shuttle your group to the house.
Please respect the team at Tu Casa Sayulita Property Management, who work hard to provide your group with a warm and seamless welcome.
π Summary: For a smooth arrival, always use a 4x4 shuttle (Suburban) for drop-off at the top entrance. Share this information with everyone in your group before booking transportation.
